Website Revamps with UI/UX Grow Online Presence by 10x

Flow Digital came out wit an extensive digital strategy to achieve Wonderlab’s goal in increasing their online presence drastically. 

SUMMARY

Wonderlab needed to revamp their website by using a better user interface to smoothen the user experience process and increase their presence online.

As a new skincare brand in the market, Wonderlab needed us to establish an online presence in Malaysia. Flow Digital have studied the brand and communicate with Wonderlab on the brand direction. We decided to revamp to website to improve the website’s user interface and user experience

We build a catalogue website from scratch with WordPress and suggested an extensive digital strategy to help increase the presence of the brand in overall social media and most importantly, search engine rankings

By working closely with the brand, we came out with different visual designs and strategy for SEO, we have successfully grow the website traffic by 10x with the tracking of Google Analytics.

CHALLENGES

Entering this competitive market, Wonderlab was trying to build a brand strategy that will lead to a long term success. They wanted to reach out to and interact with prospects and potential customers, which will eventually drive sales.

However, being a new skincare brand, WonderLab had no online presence and no in-house digital team and developers. They were also short of designers to work on their web projects.

Our Approach

The Flow Digital team prepared an extensive digital strategy to help Wonderlab penetrate the skincare and beauty industry. This strategy included web page design, visual design, WordPress development and SEO services.

The Process:

  • Understanding the Brand Direction and Target Audience: Working closely with the WonderLab team, we mapped out the brand direction. Through market surveys and user interviews, we caught a grasp of the behaviours of the company’s target audience and market.
  • Establishing UI Guide: Ensuring a cohesive product design and user experience, we established a UI guide that is consistent to the company’s brand identity for all design elements and interactions, including the font, colour scheme, tone and others.
  • Creating the Website: Starting from the mock-up to the live website, we designed the homepage, brand page and product pages to ensure that the company’s marketing and communication goals are conveyed effectively.
  • Setting Up a Testimonial Section: To increase the credibility of this new brand, we set up a testimonial section on the website to share Instagram and word-of-mouth comments and reviews from satisfied customers.
  • Installing Google Analytics: Once the website is up and running, we also installed Google Analytics for tracking and SEO purposes.
  • Doing a Website Audit: With a website audit, we proposed keywords (longtail and shortail) and optimized the website content to improve the performance. At this stage, we also utilized a content strategy by publishing relevant beauty and skincare articles for WonderLab.
  • Managing Web Maintenance Services: At a fixed monthly rate, we maintained and managed the content of the website, which helped WonderLab save costs without having to hire an in-house developer. 
  • Value Added Services: We also helped WonderLab maintain their web security, optimise their website speed and conduct SEO services to up their rank on Google.

THE RESULT

Flow Digital became the digital team that Wonderlab needed, providing them resources for design, development and marketing. We managed to drive an online presence for the brand with our comprehensive strategy and execution. Wonderlab has seen effective results in terms of traffic to their website as well as in sales. Without hiring a full time team, they have definitely kept their costs low as well.
